HOW TO GIVE RESCUE BREATHS

• Recheck the airway


• Pinch the nostrils closed


• Tilt the the victim’s chin up


• If you have a mouth barrier, follow the barrier instructions.

• Breath gently but fully into the mouth until you see the chest rise.

• Give 1 breath every 5 or 6 seconds for adults and 1 every 3 seconds for children.


 

If it has been two or three minutes since naloxone was administered, give another dose.
